Margarita Valerio joined Poder’s team in August 2001. She grew up in Pilsen and has eleven years of experience teaching ESL to adults in the Pilsen community. She received her B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her M.A. in Leadership in Higher Education from Northeastern Illinois University. She is presently serving as a board member with the Hispanic Literacy Council and the City Wide Coalition.
